Green Lipped Mussel;
Latin: Perna canaliculus, is a rare commodity. Also known as Greenshell Mussel.

Long treasured by the Maori race, (the first people to come to New Zealand), as a food that alleviated their misery from arthritis, Perna Canaliculus only grows in the waters around New Zealand. These days you can still buy large, fresh, juicy mussels in supermarkets in New Zealand, but if you get tired of eating them every day you have the option of buying them freeze dried in capsules. The whole mussel is used after being extracted from the shell. Nothing else is added to this food.

The whole extract from Green Lipped Mussel, made from the mussel and not from the shell, used in studies showed that gren shell mussel supplementation supported joint mobility and stiffness and supported repair.

Suggested dosage Greenshell Mussel capsules:
1500 - 2000mg daily for an optimal effect =  2 x 500mg capsules 2 x daily as a dietary food supplement or as advised by your health professional.

Store in a cool and dry place. The shelf life of Green Lipped Mussel capsules is approximately 3 years.

Caution:
This product is not recommended if you are allergic to shell fish. This product is an extract from the mussel and not the shell. Green Lipped Mussel is also known as Green Shell Mussel.

Perna canaliculus contains complex proteins, polypeptides, naturally chelated minerals, long chain unsaturated fatty acids, enzymes, glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), vitamins, nucleic acids, chondroitin sulfates, glycoproteins and polysaccharides.
